SEARED AHI TUNA BOWL WITH COMEBACK

Ingredients:

  • 1- Ahi Tuna Steak

  • 2-Tablespoons of Soy Sauce

  • 1-Tablespoon of fresh Ginger

  • 4-Tablespoons of Sesame Oil

  • 1 Tablespoon of Honey

  • 1-Bunch of Green Onions (Chopped)

  • 1-Carrot (peeled and sliced

  • 1-cup of Edamame

  • 1- Bunch of Radishes (julienned)

  • 1-Bunch of Cilantro (Chopped)

  • 1-Package of Frozen Cauliflower Rice

  • 2-Tablespoons of kosher salt

  • 1-Tablespoon of black pepper

  • 1-Tablespoon of red pepper flake

  • 1-Tablespoon of cumin

  • 1-Teaspoon of ginger powder

  • 1-Tablespoon of Black Sesame seeds (for garnish)

  • 1-Lime wedge (for garnish)

  • 1-Bottle of Mississippi Comeback Sauce


Prep: To make the soy ginger sauce, mix soy sauce, fresh ginger, honey, handful of green onions and 2 tablespoons of sesame oil together and set aside. Mix salt, black pepper, red pepper flake and cumin together and set aside.

Cook: Preheat pan to medium to high heat and add one tablespoon of sesame oil to the pan. Add cauliflower rice, half of the green onions and half of the carrots to the pan. Sprinkle half of the seasoning mixture and saute until cauliflower rice mixture is cooked. Preheat another pan to high heat. Season both sides of the ahi tuna with seasoning. Add sesame oil to the pan and sear the tuna on both sides for about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from the pan and allow to rest for about 5 minutes. Place edamame in a bowl with 1/4 cup of water and place in the microwave for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove edamame from the microwave and let cool for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove edamame from shells, discard shells and set edamame aside.

Eat: Place cauliflower mixture in a bowl. Add radish, carrots, green onions, edamame and cilantro. Slice tuna into thin slices and add to the bowl. Drizzle soy ginger sauce and Mississippi Comeback Sauce. Garnish with black sesame seeds and lime wedge. Enjoy!
